Senior Production Manager

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Head of Production holds full site-level P&L and operational accountability, leading warehouse and planning functions while managing a 3PL partnership and a blended direct/agency workforce. The role balances rigorous day-to-day operational execution with long-term strategic leadership, including potential site expansion.
Your primary focus is to ensure the site runs efficiently, safely, and within budget while handling the complexities of a fast paced environment. You will be responsible for both daily performance (KPIs) and the long-term strategic development of the facility, including potential future expansions.
What you’ll do:
• Own end-to-end site performance across warehouse and planning with full accountability for the 3PL relationship and agency workforce governance.
• Lead a culture of continuous improvement by driving measurable gains in cost efficiency, quality and safety in a high-growth, high-complexity environment.
• Lead and engage senior internal and external stakeholders whilst balancing competing priorities and driving outcomes through expertise, credibility and collaborative influence.
• Define and deliver multi-year operational strategy, including capacity planning and potential launch or expansion of the production site.
• Own site KPIs including efficiency, accuracy and cost metrics with full budget accountability across labor, equipment and Continuous Improvement programmes.
• Drive international alignment across sites, championing standardisation, best-practice sharing and operational consistency at scale.
• Build organisational capability through structured mentorship, succession planning and team development.
• Maintain full financial oversight of site expenditure, including invoice authorisation, with rigorous attention to detail and strong numerical acuity
What you’ll bring
• 8+ years leading operations or production at scale, ideally within FMCG.
• Proven track record delivering against KPIs and cost performance in high-pressure, high-velocity environments.
• Deep experience managing labour-intensive operations and complex agency workforce models.
• Strong command of health and safety coupled with compliance in a warehouse or production setting.
• Lean manufacturing expertise - Black Belt certification preferred.
• Strong financial acumen with the ability to manage budgets, interpret cost data and maintain rigorous oversight of site expenditure. (new line)
