UX Researcher

at Moniepoint

Moniepoint Inc., Africa's all-in-one financial platform serving 20 million businesses and individuals, is seeking a UX Researcher to support their product team in uncovering user behaviors. You'll assist experienced researchers in conducting studies that help build products for users across Nigeria, ensuring products remain simple, helpful, and relatable.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning and carrying out qualitative and quantitative research studies (from interviews to surveys)
  • Take charge of research logistics, including finding and scheduling participants for studies
  • Help facilitate interviews and usability testing sessions, capturing the key insights that matter
  • Support the team in turning raw data into easy-to-understand reports and frameworks like journey maps and personas
  • Maintain our research repository, ensuring our findings are organised and easy for the whole company to find
  • Collaborate with designers and product managers to ensure research happens at every stage of the build
  • Keep your finger on the pulse of new UX tools and methods, sharing what you learn with the wider team

Requirements

  • 2–3 years of experience in UX research, market research, or a similar field where you've had to understand human behaviour
  • A solid grasp of basic research methods (you know the difference between a survey and a deep-dive interview)
  • Comfortable using digital tools and keen to master new ones (like Maze, Typeform, or Google Forms)
  • Strong analytical thinking—you enjoy connecting the dots and finding patterns in information
  • You have a strong desire for mastery and aren't afraid to ask "why" until you truly understand
  • You look at problems from different angles and enjoy thinking of creative ways to get answers
  • You are approachable and friendly. You know how to make research participants feel at ease so they speak their truth
  • You take pride in being factual and organised. You ensure your notes are accurate and your data is clean
  • You're excited about the Nigerian market and want to discover the unique ways our users interact with money
  • Submit a resume highlighting your research experience and outlining research methodologies, processes, and the impact of your work on user experience and business outcomes
  • Optionally, you may also include a PDF portfolio with case studies that further illustrate your research approach and results
