at Webflow
Webflow is seeking an experienced engineering leader to elevate developer velocity across their platform. In this role, you'll oversee the systems and tools that empower hundreds of engineers to ship faster, with confidence and clarity. You'll blend hands-on technical judgment with strategic vision—redesigning workflows around AI capabilities while maintaining uncompromising standards for code quality, reliability, and developer experience. Ideal candidates combine strong IC credibility with proven ability to mentor teams through complex architectural challenges.
As an Engineering Manager for Developer Productivity, you'll own the full spectrum of internal developer experience: from CI/CD pipelines and build infrastructure to observability platforms, local development environments, and cross-team feedback mechanisms. Your responsibilities include: architecting and evolving systems that reduce friction and accelerate shipping cycles; identifying bottlenecks in the development workflow and driving measurable improvements; building and mentoring a high-performing team of platform engineers; establishing quality standards that balance speed with craft; and partnering across engineering, product, and design to ensure tooling decisions align with organizational priorities. A critical component of this role is reimagining team processes with AI as a core capability—from code review assistance to incident response. You'll lead by example, experimenting with AI-augmented workflows and coaching engineers on best practices. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in systems design, proficiency with modern DevOps practices, and a track record of shipping platform improvements that demonstrably impact team productivity. Remote-first position based in the US or Canadian provinces (BC, ON).
