About the job

The Agent Connect team at Twilio is building the bridge between AI agents and the Twilio platform and we are seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the team and help set their strategy. This role will lead the team responsible for enabling Twilio customers building and operating best in class agents to connect those Agents to all of Twilio’s channels and our conversation primitives. If you’re interested in helping spearhead how Twilio wants customers to build AI Agents and connect them to Twilio, this role is for you!

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll

• Lead the engineering strategy and execution for enabling customer AI agents to securely and reliably consume Twilio platform capabilities.

• Build and scale systems that power the connections between AI agents and the Twilio platform.

• Collaborate across product, platform, security, and go-to-market teams to identify high-impact use cases and deliver production-ready solutions to our customers.

• Cultivate a high-performing engineering team by hiring, mentoring, and developing managers and engineers across a rapidly evolving technical space.

• Drive operational excellence by establishing clear metrics, performing roadmap planning, and ensuring reliability, compliance, and continuous improvement.

• Acquire new technical skills and knowledge in a fast-paced, high-delivery environment. There will be a steep learning curve to this job, you should be comfortable diving in the deep end and creating clarity for yourself.

Required

• 5+ years hands on experience as an engineer writing production-grade code in a modern programming language (language agnostic)

• 3+ years of experience directly supervising teams of engineers across different disciplines.
