About this role

Role Description

We’re looking for a n experienced Compensation Business Partner to join our Compensation Team. We collaborate with HR partners and business leaders to d esign and implement compelling compensation prog rams . We advise on complex compensation matters with in-depth analytics and strategic alignment to business goals. In this role, y ou will be client-facing and serve as a trusted partner to senior leadership t o support their unique needs.

Responsibilities

• Drive Dropbox’s compensation philosophy, design and programs for your client teams .

• Build a consultative and collaborative relationship with HR business partners , business leaders , and executive leadership on compensation programs evolution and compensation initiatives.

• Act as a trusted advisor on compensation decisions. Support decisions with sound judgement and data-backed recommendations.

• Proactively r esearch compensation best practices and trends . P erform analysis on effectiveness, competitiveness and fairness of existing programs. Present findings and thoughtful alternative solutions that are aligned with Dropbox’s philosophy.

• Contribute to the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of enterprise-wide compensation programs and processes, including job architecture, market benchmarking, compensation review cycles, and global compensation practices.

• Design and implement programs with an understanding of fulfilling business need and impact on global employee base. 

• Build and d eliver compensation - related training and education materials to your client teams.

• Work with the R ecruiting team to deliver a delightful new hire process by applying Dropbox compensation policies in fair and equitable ways . This includ es new hire offer package consultation to ensure alignment to market and internal peers .

Requirements

• BA/BS in related field

• 7+ years of experience in-house or advising, preferably for the technology industry or compensation consulting firm

• Experience with job evaluation, market matching, job pricing, compensation review cycles, and global compensation practices

• D emonstrated adaptability and experience in a fast-paced environment

• Solid eye for business and the ability to influence and develop strong working relationships with multiple partners, including executives, line management, and peers .

• Experience in a client-facing role working and supporting Corporate Groups or EPD teams

• S trong change management and project management skills

• Strong written , presentation, and verbal communication skills

• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear outputs and recommendations to inform decision-making.

• Advanced E xcel skills (interview process may include an Excel test) . We’ll love it if you know Tableau, SQL, or have used AI for compensation analytics though not a requirement.

• Experience using data visualization
