Senior CI/CD Engineer  

Adyen is looking for CI/CD Engineers for its Platform Engineering solution in Amsterdam. The position involves working on a distributed, real-time, 24/7 system with interesting performance and security requirements. The primary function will be developing CI/CD solutions and pipelines for code and infrastructure. You will also be responsible for maintaining CI/CD tooling and infrastructure and supporting the rest of the organization. The primary function will be maintaining and improving the development infrastructure supporting the rest of the organization. You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining CI/CD solutions, pipelines and tooling to improve the experience in the SDLC.

Who You Are

• A Systems Thinker: You have a solid Linux background and a passion for automating processes and advocating for CI/CD best practices.

• Automation-First: You prefer to do things programmatically using Configuration Management and Infrastructure as Code tools (preferably Puppet, Ansible, or Terraform).

• Collaborative & Adaptable: You are a true team player who thrives on feedback, enjoys working with a global workforce, and can systematically diagnose problems in dynamic environments.

• Strong Communicator: You can clearly explain technical concepts to both engineering peers and internal stakeholders.

Key Requirements  

• Strong experience with Linux system administration, bash scripting, and core networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, load balancing).

• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python or Go preferred).

• Familiarity with Git and modern version control workflows.

• Hands-on experience with containerization, artifact storage (Nexus, Harbor, JFrog), and orchestration stacks (Kubernetes, HashiCorp).

Nice to have

• Experience building and maintaining Jenkins or GitLab pipelines.

• Deep understanding of Linux kernel primitives (Namespaces, cgroups), network security protocols, or distributed file systems.
