About this role

The role: What's in the Box

As a Supply Chain Planner, you will join our Operational Procurement team to help manage the cycle of purchasing the packaging ingredients that compose our HelloFresh boxes. This is a hands-on role where you independently oversee the end-to-end ordering process, from delivery scheduling and shortage management to driving improvements in supplier performance.

You will act as a primary point of contact for our partners, ensuring that every shipment meets our standards for quality and timing. Your day-to-day focus centers on hitting clear performance targets, specifically maintaining high OTIFIQ (On Time, In Full, In Quality) levels while actively working to reduce error rates and waste. We are looking for a practical problem-solver who enjoys taking ownership of a fast-moving process and contributing to a more efficient, sustainable supply chain.

What you’ll do: The Recipe

• Operational buyer : Manage the end-to-end purchase order process for your assigned supplier portfolio, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.

• Coordinate: Coordinate  daily with suppliers, production, and internal stakeholders to resolve shortages, quality issues, and delivery deviations

• Operational Point of Contact: Serve as the primary link between suppliers and our production, product and FSQA teams to coordinate all planning activities and operational matters. Ensuring enablement and performance tracking of new ingredients (planning frequency, errors & waste) as well as product substitution management

• Relationship Development:  Build and maintain collaborative, long-term partnerships with our supplier base through the onboarding process, supplier performance reviews, supplier visits and regular contact.

• Process Optimization: Identify and implement practical improvements to refine our supply chain workflows and increase efficiency. Support with projects from other teams or within your category.

• Reporting : You own your KPI’s and ensure that targets are met, perform rootcause analysis and preventive actions and present this in WBR’s. You flag structural challenge, follow-up with suppliers/internal teams to prevent situations from happening again

• Order Accuracy:  Monitor forecast & order flows closely to maintain high service levels and minimize discrepancies in the supply chain.

What you’ll bring: The Ingredients

• Educational Background: Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.

• Professional Experience: 2+ years of relevant experience, ideally within a fast-paced supply chain environment.

• Analytical Skills: Strong proficiency in Excel; you are comfortable using data to track performance and inform your decisions.

• Agility: A quick learner who adapts easily to new processes and remains solution-oriented when priorities shift.

• Operational Rigor: Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a disciplined approach to managing complex ordering schedules.
