Linear powers product development for 25,000+ companies (OpenAI, Coinbase, Ramp, and more) with a modern, speed-focused alternative to legacy tools. As a Principal Full-Stack Engineer, you'll architect and ship significant product initiatives across the entire stack.

Key Responsibilities

Partner directly with founders and product on implementing complex, multi-surface features
Integrate AI capabilities into core workflows and user experiences
Enhance and extend the real-time collaborative editor powering Linear's workspace
Develop polished, performant UI components using modern React patterns
Optimize application speed and reliability through systematic performance work
Shape engineering culture and practices to maintain team velocity and quality

What You Bring

5+ years shipping production features at high-quality B2B software companies
Deep expertise in React, TypeScript, and full-stack development (browser APIs, Node.js, GraphQL, relational databases)
Demonstrated ability to execute substantial features solo—connecting user needs to technical implementation
Strong product intuition; you care about UX and outcome, not just code
Comfort working asynchronously in a distributed team with periodic in-person gatherings
