Lifecycle Marketing Manager

at Notion

Job Description

WHO WE ARE

Notion is the collaborative AI workspace where teams and agents think together https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vkpYpWfEK5s. We're building one place where your knowledge, projects, meetings, and AI tools live side by side, so work is faster, clearer, and less fragmented. Millions of individuals, small teams, and large companies run their work on Notion.

Notinos (our employees) are customer zero in bringing this future of work to life. We care about craft, building things that last, and the belief that great work is still fundamentally human. Our goal isn’t to ship the next feature. Each and every team of Notinos is working to set the standard for how humans work together in the AI era. From building a business’s system of record to making and managing AI agents to automating away the busy work, we care deeply about giving our customers more time for their life’s work.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Notion has millions of users who rely on Lifecycle Marketing to help them get value from our products quickly, repeatedly, and in ways that stick. We’re looking for an experienced Lifecycle Marketer to join our Product team to help bring the engine that drives adoption and engagement across the customer journey into an AI-native landscape, helping to intelligently move users from first value to deeper habits and workflows.

What makes this different than a standard lifecycle marketer: This is a high-impact role helping to rethink the growth engine responsible for driving customer engagement and retention at Notion. You won't just build campaigns, you'll imagine how marketing works using AI to automate, personalize and scale impact.

In this role, you’ll build always-on, intelligent growth programs that help users discover the right features at the right time, build confidence, and deepen usage over time. You’ll partner closely with Product Growth, Engineering, Product Marketing, and Data Science to turn customer context and product signals into targeted experiences across channels such as email and in-product, continuously improving them through experimentation.

Just as important, you’ll help us scale by rethinking how our underlying systems that power development, delivery, measurement, and workflows can work in the world of Agent and AI automation, all with aim to make growth programs faster to ship, easier to iterate, and smarter over time.

Finally, you will be a customer advocate. You’ll stay close to user needs and pain points by synthesizing inputs from research, support, community feedback, and sales-facing learnings, then partner with PMM and Product to translate those insights into messaging and experiences that resonate. You’ll also close the loop: bringing engagement data, experiment results, and behavioral patterns back to the business so that lifecycle learnings shape product decisions, roadmap priorities, and go-to-market strategy.

This role may be based in either our San Francisco or New York City offices. We work from our offices on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays (our Anchor Days) because we do our best thinking and building together in person. We’re looking for someone who’s excited to work alongside the team during those days.

WHAT YOU'LL ACHIEVE

  • Own always-on lifecycle journeys end-to-end: Design and run growth programs that drive adoption, repeat usage, and monetization outcomes, turning "first try" into "part of how I work”. Act as a strategic operator, you’ll bring work from high-level strategy through to launch, owning everything in between.
  • Build systems that scale: Bring systems thinking to how Lifecycle Marketing operates—from intake and campaign execution to QA, measurement, and channel governance—using AI and automation to increase velocity and quality across programs.
  • Demonstrate deep technical fluency: Leverage knowledge of reverse ETL, data pipelines, APIs, webhooks, and event-based triggers to design sophisticated, personalized journeys that go beyond the traditional MarTech stack.
