Your Role
As our Senior Maintenance Manager (all genders) , you will be responsible for ensuring the reliable and efficient operation of our highly automated production facilities at our Barleben site near Magdeburg . Together with your Engineering team, you will ensure that our technical equipment remains safe, reliable, and available at all times.
Working closely with Production, Supply Chain, and Engineering, you will develop future-oriented maintenance strategies, optimize technical processes, and create the conditions for smooth and efficient production. Through your leadership, technical expertise, and passion for Operational Excellence, you will make a significant contribution to the success of our production site.
What You'll Do
• Lead, develop, and inspire a team of Maintenance Supervisors, Automation Engineers, and Technicians while fostering a culture of collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Take ownership of the technical availability and reliability of our production equipment by continuously developing and optimizing our maintenance strategy to sustainably minimize downtime.
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), including equipment availability, maintenance costs, and technical efficiency, and translate insights into impactful improvement initiatives.
• Plan and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure reliable, efficient, and cost-effective plant operations.
• Collaborate closely with Production, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Procurement to develop technical solutions that continuously improve production performance.
• Lead the implementation and commissioning of new production equipment and automation solutions while ensuring compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage external service providers and suppliers, building long-term, trusted partnerships that support operational excellence.
• Drive the professional and personal development of your team while fostering a high-performance, motivating work environment.
• Ensure compliance with all legal requirements and internal standards related to occupational health and safety, food safety, quality, and compliance.
• Analyze technical failures, implement sustainable root-cause solutions, and lead cross-functional improvement and capital investment projects.
• Actively contribute to cross-site projects and strategic initiatives, helping shape the future development of our production network.
What You'll Bring
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, or a comparable technical discipline.
• Several years of experience in maintenance or technical management within a manufacturing environment, ideally in the food, beverage, or FMCG industry.
• Proven leadership experience with a passion for developing, coaching, and motivating high-performing teams.
