Environmental Compliance Technician

Shift-Sunday-Wednesday 7:00am to 5:30PM 

Factor a brand of HelloFresh is seeking an Environmental Compliance Technician.  The Environmental Compliance Technician proactively monitors and enforces adherence to company policy and procedures for the proper disposal of food and waste within the production and surrounding areas for all employees. This role takes a frontline hands on approach to training employees in real time, while eliminating risk to the components that may damage company property or public infrastructure. This role will be reliant on building strong partnerships with all personnel on the production floor. Additionally, this position will require the gathering of data in order to report out trends and high risk areas regarding the proper disposal of food waste to the leadership teams. This role is responsible for anticipating possible risks and violations to the food waste process and addressing them in real time with a solution based coaching type of approach.  The Environmental Compliance Technician is responsible for following and enforcing all safety, GMP and SQF policies/procedures, as well as adherence to PPE/hygiene policies, in accordance with company policy. 

You will…

• Model proper sanitation and personal hygiene practices. 

• Oversees and performs typical sanitation tasks to support the production team and the entire facility up to and including removing waste and debris, transporting empty boxes to compactors, monitoring outside of facility for waste and debris, sanitizing equipment and floors at end of shifts, cleaning and sanitizing tools and receptacles and other custodial functions as needed.

• Coach employees on proper food waste practices to population in the building

• Enforce all policies and procedures

• Support the production department by cleaning and preparing for next shift 

• Required to communicate with all departments to collaborate and solve problems

• Responsible for promoting standard operating procedures (safety, GMP AND SQF policies /procedures, PPE / hygiene policies)

• Complete daily sanitation, safety and quality documents as needed

• Escalates all food safety and sanitation issues in a timely manner

You have….

• High School Diploma, or equivalent

• Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently

• Previous food, grocery, or restaurant experience preferred, but not required

• Basic computer skills required

• Strong problem solving skills required

• Strong communication skills required
