About this role
SeatGeek believes live events are powerful experiences that unite humans. With our technological savvy and fan-first attitude we’re simplifying and modernizing the ticketing industry.
SeatGeek is on a mission to transform the live events industry with a fan-first approach powered by data and technology. Our Product Analytics team sits at the heart of that transformation — empowering our Product, Engineering, and Design teams with the insights they need to build magical experiences for fans and powerful tools for our partners.
We’re looking for a Senior Data Analyst to join this team. This is a high-impact individual contributor role for someone who thrives on ambiguity, knows how to connect business strategy to product and marketing data, and has a passion for identifying the most meaningful opportunities to improve user and business outcomes.
What you'll do
• Partner closely with product, design, engineering, and marketing to shape team roadmaps by sizing opportunities, evaluating impact, and synthesizing complex data into actionable narratives
• Independently lead analytical efforts, from opportunity sizing to experimental design and deep-dive diagnostics, using both structured and unstructured data
• Serve as a strategic thought partner in product development planning by contextualizing analytics with broader company strategy and market trends
• Create or improve key datasets and contribute to our analytical tooling ecosystem (e.g. dbt, Hex, Mixpanel) to ensure we can answer today’s questions and tomorrow’s
• Frame and evaluate experiments using industry-best methodologies to isolate causal effects and interpret noisy data
• Mentor peers in analysis design, storytelling, and stakeholder engagement — even without direct management responsibilities
• Represent analytics in leadership forums, shaping cross-functional discussions and ensuring analytics is embedded in SeatGeek’s most important product decisions
What you have
• 4+ years of experience working in analytics, data science, or adjacent roles — preferably in tech, ecommerce marketplaces, or consumer products
• Experience working on engagement loops or retention strategy
• Deep fluency in SQL and comfort with Python or R for exploratory analysis and modeling
• Demonstrated ability to own ambiguous problem spaces, from framing questions to delivering recommendations
• A systems-thinking mindset — you enjoy mapping out how product and business components interact and impact fan experience
• Experience with A/B testing, experimentation platforms, and interpreting complex product behaviors through data
• Strong communication skills — able to simplify complex analyses, defend methodology choices, and inspire action through insights
• Collaborative mindset and emotional intelligence — you’re someone stakeholders seek out for thought partnership, not just dashboards
• Excited to contribute to a team culture centered around curiosity, humility, and impact
