About this role
Datadog’s visualization platform is how customers turn complex data into understanding and action. It powers analytical workflows across nearly every Datadog product—from troubleshooting production systems to understanding security risk, product usage, and cloud costs.
We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead this area. You’ll shape the analytical capabilities used across Datadog’s product portfolio, working with a team of roughly 30 engineers and some of the strongest visualization talent in the industry.
Your goal is simple: shorten the distance between data and value. That means helping new users reach useful insights faster, making sophisticated analysis easier to perform, and enabling experienced users to understand complex systems with greater speed and precision.
This is not just a charting role. You’ll define how customers query, explore, interpret, and act on data across Datadog.
At Datadog, we place value in our office culture - the relationships and collaboration it builds, and the creativity it brings to the table. We operate as a hybrid workplace to ensure our Datadogs can create a work-life harmony that best fits them.
What You’ll Do
• Set the strategy for Datadog’s visualization and analytical platform across products and customer segments
• Make visualizations more self-explanatory and contextual through better labels, annotations, descriptions, and embedded system knowledge
• Reimagine the query-building experience for an AI-first world, combining natural-language interaction with the precision and control expert users expect
• Expand Datadog’s analytical capabilities beyond observability data, enabling customers to explore and visualize third-party and business data alongside their telemetry
• Build onboarding and guided workflows that help customers move from raw data to useful analysis faster
• Bring automated investigation directly into visualizations through anomaly detection, dimensional analysis, and AI-powered investigation
• Partner with product teams across Datadog to create coherent analytical experiences while preserving the flexibility required by different domains
• Work closely with engineering, design, research, and go-to-market teams to turn technically ambitious platform investments into clear customer value
• Define and measure success through improvements in time to insight, product adoption, analytical depth, and customer retention
Who You Are
• You have significant product management experience building technically complex products, ideally in analytics, visualization, observability, databases, developer tools, or business intelligence
• You can set a long-term platform strategy while identifying focused, valuable increments along the way
• You understand that great analytical products require both power and approachability—and know how to balance the needs of new and expert users
• You have strong product taste and care deeply about interaction design, information
