at Terac
Terac is hiring contract CAD Engineers for a paid study on parametric design practices and mechanical engineering workflows to evaluate industry-standard approaches to feature trees and design history management.
WHAT WE'RE RESEARCHING
We're running a paid study on parametric design practices and mechanical engineering workflows.
This project focuses on how professional designers construct 3D assemblies and plan for future modifications.
Your contributions will help us evaluate industry-standard approaches to feature trees and design history management.
HOW IT WORKS
You will be tasked with creating realistic parametric CAD models from scratch based on specific engineering requirements.
After completing the initial geometry, you will document and execute a series of structural modification tasks on your own design.
While you can draw on experience from various modeling environments, all final submissions must be delivered as native, editable SolidWorks files.
We expect you to maintain a clean feature tree that clearly demonstrates your design intent and revision history.
WHO THIS IS FOR
We are looking for mechanical engineers, product designers, and CAD specialists with strong 3D modeling fundamentals.
We welcome professionals with backgrounds in SolidWorks, NX, Fusion 360, or other major parametric design software.
You must have the ability to generate clean, native SolidWorks files with an intact design history for your final deliverables.
