About this role
Who we are
About Stripe
Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone’s reach while doing the most important work of your career.
About the team
Stripe Terminal helps our users extend their online presence to the physical world. The Terminal team’s mission is to make it as easy for businesses to accept in-person payments as the Stripe API has made it to accept online payments. Whether a user is building a superb retail experience, extending their website to a pop-up store, or enabling mobile point-of-sale payments at their next event, Terminal gives them the building blocks to do it.
Almost every Terminal experience starts with a developer building the integration. The Developer Experiences team owns that work: the SDKs, APIs, integration primitives, documentation, and example apps that developers—and, increasingly, AI agents—use to build on Terminal. In this role, you’ll own how developers and agents integrate in-person payments with Stripe, from making their first test charge to running their integrations at scale in production.
What you’ll do
You’ll own the roadmap and execution for Terminal’s developer-facing surface: the client SDKs (JavaScript, iOS, Android, React Native, .NET, and Java), the integration primitives developers depend on, and the documentation and example apps that help them make their first successful charge. You’ll work with engineering to ship capabilities that make Terminal faster to integrate and more reliable to run while supporting newer patterns such as server-driven integration and agent-built integrations.
Responsibilities
• Own the roadmap and execution for Terminal’s developer experience within the team’s strategy: break the roadmap into milestones, define requirements, prioritize work, and drive delivery through sprint planning while making the tradeoffs required by a broad surface area.
• Talk regularly with external developers, platforms, and internal Stripe teams to validate ideas, requirements, and prototypes and turn what you learn into better developer experiences.
• Partner with engineering and design to ship functionality that delights developers building on Terminal, balancing impact against engineering cost and delivering measurable results.
• Own the integration primitives developers depend on—including connection tokens, integration authentication, device attestation, and connectivity—to ensure that developers can build secure, reliable in-person payment experiences consistently across every SDK and platform.
• Set the direction for integrations at scale, from server-driven integration and reusable exampl
